Sitting in church is a great place to be.......except when getting a new pic of your son from Haiti!!! Daniel's phone notified him of a new email from Otis, our contact with Mission of Hope who is currently in Haiti, and he had to check it right away. Thankful that we received this email toward the end of the service because I personally about lost it! The last few minutes of church felt like forever as I was fidgeting in my seat just waiting for church to end so I could squeal and share the photo with all my family and friends! Ooley was being checked over by a doctor in the newest pic, so he may not look happy but he's healthy! We are told there are more pics coming and waiting, not so patiently in my case, to see them! I hope there is one of him with a smile too!
We got in contact with the orphanage that we are hoping can take Ooley in when Daniel is there in early December. They sounded as if the timing of their new orphanage opening won't work with our timing, but we are planning a conference call to see what we can work out. We don't want him to have to be moved around a lot so we are believing that all the details will come into place quickly with the orphanage we would like to work with. We do not want to leave him in the care he is currently in once the documents are signed and Madam Lucine has released her rights. Our concern is that she will not be honest and could move or harm him to get more money from us. So, please join us in praying that the perfect orphanage will agree to take little Ooley into their care so we can get on with the actual adoption process!
This Saturday is the Bring Ooley Home from Haiti Dinner & Live Auction! If you haven't already planned to come be a part, please do. It's going to be a great night of dinner and fun! It's casual so please bring the family and enjoy the evening with us!
Thanks for your prayers and support! And most importantly thank God for continuing to protect Ooley and work out the details perfectly!
